Help kids just like Eve
Just three days after Eve was born her family were told to make the heartbreaking decision to turn off her life-support, as the damage to her brain was so severe.
Baby Eve had other plans… An hour and a half after turning off the life support she was still sleeping. A doctor came in to the room to check on her by sticking his finger into her tiny mouth and she suddenly started sucking.
“We had said our goodbyes and now she was alive. She was breathing on her own and would be able to eat on her own. It was a crazy rollercoaster,” says Joe, Eve’s dad.
From then on, Cerebral Palsy Alliance surrounded Eve and her family with expert treatment based on ground-breaking research ensuring Eve would reach her full potential.
By participating in The Extra Mile (virtual) cycling event you can provide support to families just like Eve’s.
Cycle 100, 200 or 500km during the month of May and change the lives of babies born with cerebral palsy.
Eve will be riding right beside you (potentially while holding an ice cream) the whole way! Please register today
